Universal beams are also known as parallel flange beams or wide flange beams with an I-shaped cross section, consisting of the flange (the horizontal elements of the I), and the web (the vertical element).
Our Structural Beams
Large-scale construction projects typically use rolled steel joists (RSJ), also referred to as I beams. It is made from a single structural steel component and is either extruded or rolled (either hot or cold). It is particularly effective for universal steel beams to support shear and bending stresses. It is mostly used in civil engineering to support floors while adding extensions or apertures in supporting walls.
Depending on where they are placed in the ceilings, walls, and floors of the construction, we have a selection of universal steel beam sizes. We transport steel beams that are at least 127mm (high) x 76mm (wide) x 13kg in size (weight). Any universal beam up to 610 x 229 x 140kg per meter is available from us. Included are the grades S235, S275, and S355.
Every building needs structural steel beams to provide security; if the steel is of poor quality, the stability of the entire structure may be jeopardized. Builders and contractors must make sure the steel they buy is of a good quality, thoroughly controlled, tested, and dependable. When compared to the entire construction, the structural safety of the building is of the utmost importance; structural steel has such a significant responsibility. It’s accurate to state that the structural steel beams might be viewed as the building’s very foundation.
